Multi-directional servo hot/cold press is a class of high-precision, multi-dimensional compression molding equipment. It integrates three core technologies: multi-directional pressing (vertical, horizontal, longitudinal, or angular pressing), servo control (closed-loop control of position, force, and speed), and dual hot/cold functionality (rapid cooling for shaping after heated forming).

Core Components & Working Principle


1. Multi-Directional Pressing System

Typically composed of multiple independent servo electric cylinders (ranging from 2 to 6 units) that apply precise pressure vertically, horizontally, or at an angle. Common configurations include:

●Dual-axis: Vertical + horizontal side pressing

●Four-column: Vertical + front/rear/left/right side pressing

●Special-angle: For irregular or wedge-shaped parts


2. Hot/Cold Dual System

●Hot pressing: Uses heating plates (oil, electric, or electromagnetic) to melt or soften materials. Temperature range: ambient to 400°C, with control accuracy of ±1–2°C.

●Cold pressing: Employs water or oil cooling channels to rapidly solidify materials, reducing internal stress. Cooling rates can reach 5–15°C/s (depending on the model).


3. Servo Drive & Control

Equipped with AC servo motors + ball screws or electric cylinders, along with pressure sensors and linear encoders. Achieves position repeatability of ±0.01 mm and pressure control accuracy of ±1% F.S. Supports programmable multi-stage speed, pressure, and dwell time.

1. Composite material molding: Multi-directional compaction of carbon fiber prepreg, fiberglass, and aramid honeycomb panels (e.g., T‑shaped/I‑beams, angled aerospace structural components).


2. Electronics & semiconductors: Hot-press bonding of flexible printed circuits (FPC), uniform pressing of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC), underfill curing for chip packaging.


3. Automotive parts: Battery module electrode pressing, engine gaskets, interior laminate composites.


4. Emerging fields: Hot pressing of solid-state battery electrolyte films, sealing forming of bipolar plates for hydrogen fuel cells, and multi-layer medical film lamination.
