Recently, Guangzhou Shuntian Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. successfully delivered a PEM water electrolysis hydrogen production line project, a collaboration with a certain company. This production line will provide efficient and stable support for the customer's green hydrogen production, contributing to the development of my country's hydrogen energy industry.
As a national high-tech enterprise and a specialized and innovative enterprise in the field of hydrogen energy equipment, Shuntian Equipment has extensive experience in PEM water electrolysis hydrogen production technology. The delivered production line integrates multiple core technologies to achieve fully automated production, effectively improving production efficiency and product quality.
The production line utilizes an advanced six-axis robot for gripping and stacking bipolar plates and membrane electrodes, coupled with a high-precision vision alignment system to ensure minimal component alignment errors. The automatic bolt locking machine utilizes servo control technology to avoid uneven force caused by manual tightening, ensuring electrolyzer performance and stability.
In terms of assembly precision, the electrolyzers produced on this production line achieve industry-leading flatness throughout the entire cell. Advanced differential pressure testing demonstrates a leak rate far below the industry average. Feedback from a 100MW green hydrogen project shows that after 10,000 hours of electrolyzer operation, the membrane electrode degradation rate was only 5%, lower than the industry average of 10%, reducing equipment maintenance costs.
This production line features robust data traceability and capacity adaptability. Operating parameters are uploaded to the MES system in real time, enabling five years of data storage and one-click backup, facilitating quality monitoring and traceability. Furthermore, a single shift can accommodate multiple 1.2MW electrolyzers, allowing rapid capacity expansion based on customer demand to meet the needs of projects of varying sizes.

Part 01 Electrolyzer Assembly Line - Scope of Application
This production line is primarily used for the complete assembly and testing of various PEM electrolysis stacks. It can complete all PEM electrolysis stack processes and produce a full range of stack sizes. It enables stacking, assembly, and online airtightness testing of electrolyzer stacks. Robotic stacking replaces manual labor, offering high accuracy and preventing uncontrollable factors such as missed or incorrect stacks during manual assembly.
Two control modes: pressure mode as the primary mode and position mode as the auxiliary mode, work together to ensure product safety. While robotic stacking is in progress, manual bolt locking, airtightness testing, and finished product unloading can also be performed, improving production efficiency. The servo-hydraulic closed-loop control system precisely stores system pressure history data for traceable parameters.
Part 02 Electrolyzer Assembly Line - Advantages and Features
This production line is an automated stack assembly line with a modular design. It includes raw material storage, bipolar plate cleaning, visual inspection, glue dispensing, sealant application, conveying and stacking of end plates, bipolar plates, and membrane electrode systems, and flexible assembly. It features hydraulic servo stacking, automatic screw threading and locking, automatic tooling positioning, airtightness testing, laser marking, and screw locking. High-rigidity carriers limit servo stacking, automatic bolt tightening, stack airtightness testing, laser marking, and finished product unloading. It is compatible with the production of PEM electrolysis hydrogen stacks of various sizes. The entire production process is monitored by an MES system, providing full data traceability, allowing for rapid expansion of production capacity based on production needs. The line features scientific and rigorous processes, information-based production, and high stability.

Through joint efforts with the customer, the production line was quickly delivered. This project is of great significance and assistance to the customer in accelerating the delivery of PEM electrolyzers.
